Retreat is my Favorite Coffee Shop in the Green Lake Area. They offer a wide variety of Delicious goods including meals. All of their cuisine & Espresso is worth trying. This visit I had ordered their Black Bean Breakfast bowl. This is an amazing dish. From the egg, guacamole & beans. I highly recommend this location for all Coffee Lovers and people visiting the Green Lake Seattle Area. Thank you & God Bless Retreat!
Retreat Cafe is A Real Nice neighborhood Cafe to go enjoy a Tasty Espresso cappuccino and have breakfast.
Nice area of green lake park, I always enjoy the Cinnamon rolls and Harvest Bread. The Cafe Has Many Tasty Treats To Choose. The barista's are always friendly, The Cafe Has Good Vibes.
Best tomato soup ever, matched with an incredible grilled cheese. Vibe here is the best and at the end of my lunch, grabbed a coffee and walked around the lake, perfect combo if you ask me. Also the quinoa bowl was delicious
This place atmosphere is awesome and you can always find tons of cool people working or having a great time
I recently visited this location and tried their Buddha Bowl with chicken, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The dish was well-prepared, with perfectly cooked chicken and a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients.

My choice Mayan Bowl 💵 $14
I lived in Green Lake back in the early 2000s, when this location was a Safeway parking lot. I returned a few days ago with my wife, and we were looking for someplace to have breakfast before walking around green lake.
Retreat was delightful. It has nice outdoor seating and a view of the soccer field and lake. The service was fast, and the avocado toast and grilled cheese (esp. the latter) were delicious. Also, they made a cute bear face in my wife's hot chocolate.
This is still a delightful neighborhood 15 years later, and this is a great place to grab breakfast if you visit.
SMOKE just SMOKE.
Oh, and asks for 18% to 25% tip at the time of order, in front of the cashier, and you serve yourself and bus the table yourself after.
I came here so I don’t have to make my own brunch but still end up smelling like I worked in the kitchen.
There were two induction stove and only one of them had range hood over it, which was barely doing anything (code?)
The smoke was so heavy you could see it all over the place, even with all the doors propped open.
Food was already cold when we got it, maybe lukewarm. Quality, well, just sad. Edible, but not good and not worth the money.
Overall the food taste very good, I suppose to give 5 stars but there were two things made me removed one star: 1) the retreat bowl is too oily, maybe others like that but it’s not good for me. 2) they forgot gave me coffee, I finished all food but not seen my coffee so I went to the bar and asked, then they found they forgot my order. Hopes they can improve in the future.
